Terms of service

Short, and written to be read. If something here seems unreasonable, say so before you buy rather than after.

Last updated 21 August 2026

1. The agreement

These terms apply when you buy or use a normalbrowser licence. Buying one means you accept them, along with the acceptable use policy, which is part of this agreement.

2. What you get

A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to run the software on the number of concurrent machines your plan covers, for as long as your subscription is paid up. A seat is a machine, not a person: one machine running many jobs is one seat.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell or sublicense the software
  • Share a licence key outside your organisation
  • Remove or defeat the licence check, or operate more seats than you pay for

Reverse engineering is permitted to the extent your local law says it cannot be contracted away. We would rather you told us what you found.

3. How you may use it

Only for systems you own or have permission to access. The acceptable use policy sets out specifics. Breaching it ends the licence immediately and without refund.

You are responsible for the legality of what you automate. We supply a tool; the targets, the volumes and the purpose are yours, and so is the obligation to comply with the law and with agreements you have with other people.

4. Billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds are covered on the refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing customers. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
  • If a payment fails, the licence keeps working through Stripe's retries and a three-day grace period. After that it stops validating until payment succeeds.

5. Availability

The software runs on your machines, so our uptime does not gate your automation: the client caches its last successful licence check and fails open if our service is unreachable. We do not promise a specific uptime figure for the website or the licence API on the standard plans. Enterprise agreements can include one.

6. Changes to the software

This is an actively developed product and behaviour will change, that is what you are paying for. Breaking changes to the public API are documented in the changelog. If we remove a capability you depend on and cannot offer an alternative, tell us and we will refund the unused part of your term.

7. Warranty

The software is provided as it is. We make no promise that it will evade any particular detection system, now or in the future, detection is adversarial and moves constantly, and any vendor who guarantees otherwise is selling you something they cannot deliver.

What we do commit to is that the measurements published on this site were produced by the commands shown, on the date shown, and that we publish the results that do not flatter us alongside the ones that do.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability under this agreement is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, banned accounts or business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Ending it

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. We can terminate for a breach of the acceptable use policy, for non-payment, or for a chargeback filed instead of a refund request. On termination your keys stop validating.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which normalbrowser is established, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction. If you need a specific jurisdiction named for procurement, ask us before you buy.

11. Contact

support@normalbrowser.com. We answer questions about these terms before you buy, and we would rather do that than argue about them afterwards.
